At VinaGreen, we partner with enterprises, cooperatives, and farmers in Kien Giang, Soc Trang, and An Giang to cultivate ST25 rice in brackish water shrimp farms. This unique system allows for just one crop per year, from July to December, during the rainy season. Our ST25 rice thrives in these shrimp farming areas, benefiting from the natural nutrients left behind after the shrimp farming season, resulting in rich, delicious, and firm grains.
Our Strict Process of Cultivation and Processing
Step 1: Selecting the ST25 Rice Variety
We exclusively use genuine ST25 rice seeds, awarded the title of the world’s best rice in 2019 and 2023 by Ho Quang Company. This ensures uniform quality and high yields.
Step 2: Preparing the Planting Area
Our ST25 rice is cultivated in specialized rice-shrimp fields, allowing for one rice and one shrimp crop each year. The rice plants absorb nutrients from shrimp waste and minerals in the brackish water, creating a unique flavor that sets our rice apart.
Step 3: Cultivation Techniques
We apply recommended planting and care techniques for the ST25 variety, combined with the expertise of local farmers. Their understanding of saline soil conditions helps us achieve high productivity and exceptional quality.
Step 4: Care Standards
Since ST25 rice and shrimp are intercropped, farmers minimize the use of fertilizers and pesticides to protect the shrimp farming environment for future crops. This commitment results in rice that is clean, safe, and meets export standards for markets in the U.S., Europe, Japan, and more.
Step 5: Harvesting and Processing
When the rice reaches 85-90% maturity, it is harvested and transported to drying facilities in Soc Trang and Kien Giang within 12 hours, ensuring moisture levels drop below 14%. The rice is then sent to our state-of-the-art Vinagreen Factory in Thanh Hoa for milling and deep processing, preserving the natural aroma and superior nutritional properties of the ST25 variety. Our advanced pasteurization and color separation technologies guarantee that the finished rice is clean and safe.
Step 6: Packaging and Distribution
After processing, the rice is automatically packaged in hygienic plastic bags of 2kg, 5kg, and 10kg. Each package is printed with the production date, lot number, and QR code for easy tracking, and undergoes strict quality control before reaching our customers.
